I’m Amruta Huddar, a Creative Arts and Embodied Psychotherapist with over five years of experience in mental health, working across India and the UK. I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations—children, adults, and the elderly—helping individuals navigate issues such as eating disorders, severe mental health conditions, anxiety, depression, PTSD, developmental trauma, and the effects of parental substance misuse.
In my work, I take a trauma-informed and compassionate approach, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I deeply believe that our bodies carry untold stories, emotions, and wisdom. Together, we’ll listen to what your body is saying, gently uncovering the scores it has been keeping while tapping into your natural resilience and inner strength to heal and grow.
I follow a creative, client-centered approach where the wisdom of stories plays a key role. I encourage my clients to root their life experiences in their cultural context, helping them make sense of the world around them and their place within it. Together, we explore personal narratives and cultural stories, allowing clients to connect more deeply with themselves and their surroundings.
I was also fortunate to be an India Fellow, where I worked on the ‘Udaan’ initiative—a unique mental health project in partnership with Tata Trusts and the Government of Maharashtra. My time with the Institutional Reform Project and the District Mental Health Programme in Nagpur helped me appreciate the importance of mental health at every level, from the individual to the community.

Terms and policies
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
There is no refund or cancellation once you have been put in touch with the therapist. However, you can reschedule sessions upto 48 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling of the session is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
