I am a depression and a PTSD survivor. Depression came into my life at such an awkward time that I didn’t even know its meaning. I was so naive about mental illness that I neglected it for so long that it came like a storm in November 2018, and since then, my life changed. It changed for the better. 

To chose my health over my independent work-life was hard. Not at all easy, but thankfully I had my family support and all they wanted me is to be alive. It’s not easy, you know to deal with your inner demons twenty-four hours. It’s not easy to live in a society that is full of stigma.. I lost two years and I lost my work-life balance. I lost my physical health(big time), but what I did not lose was me. 

I am on the path to healing, to understand and accept my emotions. I have indeed defeated clinical depression, but it will always remain a part of me. Currently fighting my divorce, which gave me PTSD but guess what this survivor is again sailing through!

I decided to speak up and share my ordeals through blogs to tell people that it’s normal to talk about mental health and be aware of it and ask for help. It doesn’t make you weak, it makes you stronger. Till now 20+ blogs have been published on different mental health sites! I will never stop talking about mental health and other life ordeals one goes through.
