About me
Ummul Fatima is a licensed clinical psychologist and research scientist specializing in child and adolescent mental health. With extensive experience in psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and research, she has worked closely with young individuals navigating emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges. Her clinical expertise includes comprehensive assessments of cognitive, personality, and neuropsychological functioning, guiding clients toward deeper self-understanding and growth. Currently, at AIIMS, New Delhi, Ummul is engaged in research exploring the psychosocial correlates of COVID-19 in school-going adolescents. Her work is driven by a deep curiosity about the interplay between mental health, illness, and resilience.
Trained in narrative therapy, Ummul brings a deep appreciation for the power of stories and the meaning-making process in psychological healing. She is particularly interested in growth-oriented approaches that foster resilience, insight, and transformation, helping individuals re-author their experiences in ways that support emotional and relational well-being. Beyond clinical and research settings, Ummul is committed to mental health promotion and preventive interventions, with a focus on developing culturally relevant digital tools that enhance psychological and subjective well-being. Firmly believing in the interconnectedness of language, culture, and mental health, Ummul adopts a multidimensional and contextual approach in her practice. She sees healing as a deeply personal journey—one that requires awareness, resilience, and self-exploration.
As a clinician and researcher, she strives to create a collaborative space where individuals can step into their strength and navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
My Areas of Expertise
Key Therapeutic Approaches I use
Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
