I was a severe patient of acute depression for 5-8 yrs. It was the most difficult phase of my life. I started eating a lot and put on weight. Even a couple of times suicidal thoughts came to my mind and I was almost on the verge of doing it. It was my belief that stopped me and I was able to bounce back.

There were reasons why I went into this depression. I did not get any support from my family when I was staying alone. I did not get a single call asking about my whereabouts and I used to only get calls when they needed something. I realized I was used like a product. I was also not lucky with my girlfriend and that did not turn out to be a happy story. I was onmedication and counselling and with sheer determination, I saw light at the end of the tunnel. 

I bounced back from a point of no return. It was a huge effort. One thing I would like to share is never giving up in life whatever the situation is.
