Goals of the Group

Our group provides a safe and compassionate environment for those of us mourning the loss of our pets. This particular grief can be especially challenging as it's often misunderstood by others- a form of grief known as disenfranchised grief- leaving us to feel isolated and alone. Finding a supportive community that understands and validates our experience can be crucial in the grieving process.
This is a space where people can ask questions, seek advice, and develop strategies to heal together through meaningful activities. We honour that grief looks different for each person and strive to hold space for one another's unique experiences and emotions.

Who is the group for?

This group is tailored for adults aged 18 and above who are grieving the loss of their pet. It also welcomes individuals who are anticipating the loss or are coping with a missing pet. It provides a safe space for those in search of a supportive community to empathize with them, lend an ear, and navigate the intricate journey of grieving a pet loss.
