Living with sight loss is challenging especially with late diagnosis and a lack of counselling . When I was diagnosed with Cone Dystrophy, a kind of macular degeneration, a series of denial and dejection lead to adverse mental health , panic attacks and phobias . It took me many years to adapt to my condition and even openly speak about it. I have an invisible disability hence it becomes difficult to explain it to people who dismiss it. I am still learning what accommodations help me better. I do struggle with my career too and seeking options available for people with low vision.
