What will I learn?

This four-part workshop is designed to help you and your partner reconnect emotionally, romantically, and relationally.

You’ll learn how to:
▸ Understand each other more deeply, even in moments of stress
▸ Keep conflict from spiraling into blame, silence, or shutdown
▸ Rebuild warmth, trust, and emotional safety
▸ Rekindle intimacy and desire — without pressure or awkwardness
▸ Turn everyday moments into connection, not disconnection

This workshop is not a crisis intervention space. It’s best suited for couples who are committed to each other and looking to reconnect, strengthen their bond, or prevent unhealthy patterns from taking root.

Who is the group for?

This workshop is for couples who:

▸Are in a committed relationship (married or not)
▸Feel like the connection has faded, even if love hasn’t
▸Want to understand and support each other better
▸Get stuck in recurring conflicts or emotional distance
▸Miss the ease, warmth, and play they used to share
▸Are willing to reflect, listen, and try something new

You’ll be learning in a small, supportive online group (just four couples), with plenty of private partner activities and moments for guided reflection not group therapy or sharing circles.

Glimpse of the regime

Session 1: Love Maps

Rebuild emotional connection by learning how to stay curious about each other especially in the middle of life’s busyness.

▸ Relearn each other’s emotional world — what matters, what hurts, what delights
▸ Discover how small daily moments shape long-term connection
▸ Practice emotional attunement through the Gottman “Love Maps” exercise
▸ Learn how to respond to your partner’s bids for closeness

Most couples get stuck in the same fight over and over this session helps you see the pattern without blaming the person.

▸ Identify your shared disconnection cycle (pursue/withdraw, blame/shutdown, etc.)
▸ Understand why the same argument keeps repeating itself
▸ Learn about Sue Johnson’s “Demon Dialogues” and how to interrupt them
▸ Replace defensiveness and criticism with empathy and clarity
▸ Begin creating emotional safety in conflict

Desire doesn’t just live in the bedroom it lives in attention, imagination, and appreciation.

▸ Explore your personal relationship with pleasure, expression, and desire
▸ Understand how emotional and sexual intimacy are linked
▸ Build a culture of appreciation that makes both partners feel wanted
▸ Shift from pressure or obligation to play, curiosity, and connection
▸ Learn to initiate and respond with confidence and care

Fights happen. What matters is how you find your way back to each other and how you protect what matters most.

▸ Learn how to de-escalate and self-soothe in the heat of a fight
▸ Understand the emotional repair process (Gottman’s Aftermath of a Fight + EFT's A.R.E. model)
▸ Create rituals of connection for daily and weekly closeness
▸ Practice gentle “emotional check-ins” to prevent resentment buildup
▸ Recommit to being emotionally available, responsive, and engaged

  • Excellent! Very practical and immediately useful. We would like to send more family to such groups.

  • I had put my marriage on cruise control. This group was a good reminder that marriage takes work and and very useful tools of how to think about things.

  • My favourite part about the group was finding out how similar some of the struggles were.

Zohra Master

Zohra Master is a certified Supervisor and Associate Fellow with the Albert Ellis Institute, New York, and one of only 10 certified REBT Supervisors in India. With over 11 years of clinical experience and 6 years of experience training and mentoring therapists, she brings intellectual precision, cultural nuance, and emotional attunement to her work.

Couples therapy is a deeply integrated extension of her practice. Informed by training from ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy), Zohra works with couples navigating disconnection, recurring conflict, or emotional shutdown. She helps partners slow down their cycles, name the pain beneath the pattern, and build a more secure bond. Her work draws from the structure of REBT, the depth of EFT, and a systemic lens that honours both individual histories and relationship dynamics.

Zohra has presented internationally, including at the 54th Annual Congress of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT), where she led workshops and shared research on emotional granularity within REBT.
She is also a G.P. Birla Fellow for Women Leaders, selected by the Ananta Aspen Centre, a prestigious leadership program that equips purpose-driven women to move from insight to impact.

Clients describe her as “warm, witty, and razor-sharp,” with many crediting her for helping them move from self-criticism to self-kindness and from emotional chaos to clarity. Some say therapy with her “changed their life.”

As co-founder of Inner Planet, Zohra continues to shape a practice where therapy is smart, soulful, and radically useful—for clients and clinicians alike.

More about Support Groups & Therapy Groups:

1. What is an online therapy or support group?

Online therapy groups or support groups are structured, therapist-led sessions where participants gather virtually to discuss and work on specific mental health or personal growth topics.

These groups offer a supportive environment and help members learn coping strategies and relevant techniques from the therapist. Participants offer each other encouragement, share advice, and provide emotional support, helping one another feel less isolated.

Participants in online therapy groups often experience improved mental health, a greater sense of connection, and enhanced coping skills. Group therapy provides structured guidance from a therapist, which can lead to valuable insights and personal growth.

One-on-one therapy is personalized, focusing solely on your needs, which can be ideal for in-depth, private work with a therapist.

Online group therapy, however, offers a sense of community and shared experience. In addition to learning from the therapist, members get to connect with others facing similar challenges. Group settings provide diverse perspectives and reduce isolation, which participants find valuable.

Yes, studies show that online groups can be as effective as in-person groups. The online format provides convenience and accessibility while offering the same structured therapeutic benefits, especially for those who prefer the comfort of their home environment.

Sharing is encouraged but never forced. Participants are free to share only what they feel comfortable with, and many find that opening up gradually is natural and helpful for their own growth.

The therapist leading the group is trained to manage challenging emotions. They provide tools and strategies for coping, helping participants process feelings safely.

Yes, many people find that group therapy superbly complements individual therapy, providing additional insights and social support, thus accelerating their healing. Also, users often join group therapy for a topic that they are not focusing on in their individual therapy sessions. Often, therapists themselves recommend their clients to group therapy for a specific area of their life.

If you’re looking for shared experiences and emotional support rather than structured therapeutic guidance, a support group may be ideal. Otherwise, consider a therapy group for a more structured approach.

You can also join more than one group if you feel it will benefit you, especially if each group focuses on a different aspect of your mental health journey.
