Femitha holds a triple honors degree in English, Journalism, and Psychology from St. Joseph's University, Bangalore, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Sampurna Montfort College. With over 2,000 therapy hours and more than three years of experience, she worked in private practice before joining The Alternative Story, a leading mental health organization in Bangalore.
There, she served a diverse clientele aged 8 to 45, conducting individual and couples therapy while supervising other therapists and mentoring trainees. As a visiting faculty member at St. Joseph's University, she taught various psychology modules.
Femitha specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, workplace challenges, grief, and sexuality-related concerns. Using a person-centered approach, she tailors her methods to each client’s needs, employing techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She believes that therapy is most effective when it aligns with the client's pace, providing a safe space for emotional exploration.

Terms and policies
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
There is no refund or cancellation once you have been put in touch with the therapist. However, you can reschedule sessions upto 48 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling of the session is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
