The group aims to:

This group is designed for individuals who:

• Have lived experience with PCOS, hormonal imbalances, or weight gain.
• Have struggled with cycles of dieting and are looking for a healthier, more intuitive approach.
• Feel grief or frustration about societal standards and are ready to explore new definitions of wellness.

Session 1: From Restriction to Intuition

• Explore the harmful cycles of dieting and emotional eating.
• Learn the basics of intuitive eating and how to tune into your body's hunger cues.
• Reflect on your current relationship with food and identify "fear foods."
• Set an experiment to practice mindful eating throughout the week.

Session 2: Letting Go of Old Standards

• Discuss societal beauty standards and how they impact your body image.
• Begin redefining wellness beyond appearance and dieting.
• Write a letter of gratitude to your body for its strength and resilience.
• Set a personal self-care goal to nurture your body emotionally and physically.

Session 3: Eating Well and Moving Joyfully

• Learn simple, practical ways to nourish your body and move with joy.

• Reflect on your experience with joyful movement and nourishing foods.

Meet your Facilitator

Sadaf Vidha

Sadaf Vidha is the founder of Guftagu Counselling and Psychotherapy (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. and the recipient of the Restore Awards 2022 for “Mental Health Beyond Boundaries,” which she received alongside Aryan Somaiya. As a plus-sized queer woman with lived experiences of conservatism at home and Islamophobia in society, Sadaf brings a unique perspective to her work. She uses her curiosity and resourcefulness to navigate the delicate balance between hope and loss, an approach that deeply influences her practice.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Relational Psychoanalysis, a framework that emphasizes the importance of relationships in shaping the self. Sadaf specializes in addressing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, body image, and self-esteem issues. She also works extensively with marginalized communities, including Muslim, oppressed caste, queer, and trans clients, focusing on the intersections of identity and mental health.

Sadaf believes that the essence of therapy lies in working through themes of loss, hate, love, differences, and grief. In addition to providing individual, couple, and family therapy, she is passionate about teaching, researching, and writing. Sadaf also collaborates with mental health NGOs and startups to enhance the user-friendliness and efficacy of their services.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, painting, listening to old Hindi songs, and indulging in her talent for "cat whispering."

How is confidentiality maintained in Groups?

Confidentiality in Support Groups is maintained using secure meeting links and enabling waiting rooms to control participant access. Participants are bound by mutual confidentiality clause within the group. and sessions are not recorded without explicit consent.

Are Group sessions done on video?

Yes, all group sessions are conducted on video via Zoom.

While participants are allowed to use pseudonyms - they need to be on video to make the most of the session.

What is SoulUp's refund policy on Groups?

1. After you have registered for the group and you'd like to opt out:
- Full refund if you cancel 30 days before the group start date.
- 50% refund if you cancel 16-30 days before the group start date.
- No refund if you cancel 0-15 days before the group start date.

2. If SoulUp cancels a group, we will refund the entire signup fee.

3. If SoulUp reschedules a group by more than 2 weeks, we will inform you and give you an option to opt out and get a full refund.

4. SoulUp reserves the right to remove participants from a group if found unsuitable to the group. In such cases participants are given the option of claiming the pro-rata amount left as a refund or using it for another service on SoulUp.
