Goals of the group

• Creating Awareness by educating the participants regarding anxiety
• Providing some quick tips and suggestions for instant relief
• Guidance for dealing with anxiety from a trained professional
• Support from the group to build motivation

Who is it for?

Experiencing occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. However if you frequently have intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations, this group is for you.

If you feel, these feelings of anxiety and panic interfere with daily activities, are difficult to control, are out of proportion to the actual danger, and you may avoid places or situations to prevent these feelings, the group can help.

Note: This course is not recommended for severe cases of anxiety or any case where there are other co-morbid conditions.

• How is anxiety treated globally and how you can use it too...
• Explaining anxiety from the lens of CBT
• Introducing tool to identify the root cause of anxiety
• Sharing circle and exercise to tap into your anxiety

Session 3 - Facing anxiety head on

• Identify ANTS, Cognitive Distortion, and Thought Restructuring
• Tips and techniques for relief and progressive relaxation
• Using our brain and body to create magic
• Sharing Circle, Q&A

Session 4 - Forging Ahead

• Emotional check-in and check-out
• Share your learnings and takeaways from the expert session with each other
• Freely discuss your struggles with the rest of the group and learn from each other's perspectives
• Motivate each other and stay accountable to implementing what you have learnt in the expert sessions

Meet your Facilitator

Ayush Chandra

Psy. Ayush Chandra is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Gold Medalist), at Aarunya Mental Health Centre, West Delhi.

He has completed his RCI Licensing in Clinical Psychology and His Masters in Psychology is from TISS Mumbai., after completing his bachelor in Psychology from Delhi University.

He has attained his experience at various esteemed institutions of mental health in India such as NIMHANS-Bangalore, IBHAS-Delhi, Deen Dayal Hospital Delhi.

As a Clinical Psychologist his expertise includes a wide range of mental health conditions like Anxiety Disorders,Mood Disorders, Sexual dysfunctions, Addiction, Family Counselling among others.
