Loneliness Support Group

Loneliness Support Group

An 6-week arts-guided group space for understanding loneliness as both a personal and community experience. Designed as a collective storytelling journey, the group will move from understanding one’s own experience of loneliness, connecting with those with similar experiences to reframing loneliness with supportive action integrated into the way we think, feel and be. Shifting the frame of perspective and re-authoring parts of ourselves that feel  impacted by loneliness to a more integrated and stronger sense of self.

Take this quiz to see if you may be experiencing symptoms of loneliness.

Years of Experience: 10+ years
Groups Facilitated at SoulUp: 2
Relevant Expertise: Psychotherapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Trauma-informed Practice, Loneliness and Connection, Career Counseling, Psychodynamic Approach

Oshin Rakesh Randhawa is a Psychologist and Expressive Arts Based Therapist with over ten years of experience supporting individuals in their emotional and creative healing journeys. She holds a Master’s in Psychology (Psycho-Social Clinical Studies) and a Diploma in Counselling and Guidance. She is trained in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory and certified in Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy. Her approach integrates psychodynamic therapy with expressive arts, movement and creative exploration, helping individuals reconnect with their inner world while strengthening their capacity for meaningful relationships. Rooted in empathy, curiosity and a trauma-informed perspective, she supports clients in rediscovering self-trust, authenticity and belonging.

Her interest in facilitating loneliness-focused work comes from witnessing how often loneliness shows up quietly beneath the surface of many concerns people bring to therapy. The increasing reliance on virtual connection, comparison and overstimulation has made emotional isolation more common and harder to speak about. In this group space, she offers community and shared reflection where participants can safely explore what loneliness means in their lives and how connection can be rebuilt. Through her previous group facilitation experience, she has seen how expression, creativity and being witnessed by others can soften isolation and make individuals feel less alone in their journeys.

Lets sit with our loneliness together to really listen to what it speaks to us.
