About me

Shahana Zehra is a dedicated psychotherapist with a strong expertise in providing individual therapy to clients across all age groups who are grappling with intrapersonal conflicts, self-esteem challenges, and self-confidence issues. Her practice also extends to addressing concerns within social and interpersonal relationships, which often contribute to emotional health concerns and psychiatric symptomatology.

Shahana is committed to empowering individuals to reclaim their mental health through an eclectic therapeutic approach. She skillfully integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with third-wave psychotherapy techniques, ensuring a personalized and effective treatment plan for each client. Her therapeutic philosophy revolves around the belief that with the right guidance, every person has the potential to achieve emotional well-being and lead a fulfilling life.

Tools & processes used

1. ADHD
Tools:
DIVA-5, ADHD symptoms checklists, rating scales.
Process: 1st session is a clinical Interview with a screening tool assessment. Session 2 is an in-depth tool based assessment. This is followed by a report. Report discussion session will be for 20 minutes. All sessions online over Zoom.

2. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Tools:
Clinical interview, ISAA, CARS-2, M-Chat, ASRA, RAADs.
Process: 2 sessions. The 1st session is a clinical interview for 90 minutes and the 2nd session is a standardized test for 60 minutes. The sessions are done online, over Zoom, and followed by a report.

3. Depression
Tools:
BDI, HDRS, DSM 5 & ICD 10/11 criteria, PHQ-9.
Process: 2 sessions. The 1st session is a clinical interview for 90 minutes and the 2nd session is a standardized test for 60 minutes. The sessions are done online, over Zoom, and followed by a report.

4. Anxiety Disorders
Tools:
GAD-7, HARS, screening for other symptoms based on clinical interview
Process: 3 sessions. The 1st session is a clinical interview for 90 minutes and the 2nd session is a standardized test for 60 minutes. 1 session for other forms of screening if needed. The sessions are done online, over Zoom, and followed by a report.

5. PTSD
Tools:
Clinical interview, DSM /ICD criteria, PTSD checklists, PCL-5
Process: One or two 60-minute sessions with interview and trauma inventories. The sessions are done online, over Zoom, and followed by a report.

6. Personality Disorders
Tools:
  IPDE/SCID-PD (online all). One projective test to be done in an offline setting.
Process: 2 sessions. The 1st session is a clinical interview for 90 minutes and the 2nd session is a standardized test for 60 minutes.The sessions are done online, over Zoom, and followed by a report. One projective test to be done in an offline setting.

7. Learning Disabilities & Developmental DelaysTools: IQ test followed by SLD test (available only offline).Process: 3 sessions. The 1st one is a clinical interview along with testing for developmental delay indicators; The 2nd session is an IQ test and the 3rd session includes the SLD tests. This is followed by a report.
