About me

With 59 years of experience in understanding and simplifying life’s complexities, I am deeply committed to helping individuals and couples navigate their inner landscapes. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and a client-centered approach, I blend experiential wisdom with evidence-based practices to foster clarity and growth.

My work is inspired by a profound connection to nature—especially the mountains and animals—which serves as a grounding force in both my personal and professional life. I am passionate about continuous learning, regularly engaging in reading, supervision, and specialized courses to deepen my expertise.

I specialize in guiding individuals through personal challenges and supporting couples in building stronger, more empathetic connections. By helping them face their inner darkness and fostering mutual understanding, I empower them to create healthier, more supportive relationships.

My Lived Experience

In my childhood, I found myself surrounded by a multitude of people. However, despite the physical presence of many, I often felt an overwhelming sense of isolation. Those around me seemed preoccupied and disengaged, lacking the energy and interest to meet the needs of a hyperactive child. This environment shaped my early years, fostering hyper-independence and a critical worldview, as I sought to exert control over my life experiences. In my bid for attention, I resorted to anger outbursts, which only exacerbated feelings of shame and guilt. As I transitioned to adulthood, these unresolved feelings and coping mechanisms transformed into a pervasive anxiety. I became a high-functioning individual, yet my dependency on others for validation trapped me in a relentless cycle. This disarray manifested in my interactions with adults—whether at work, in marriage, or as a parent—resulting in tumultuous relationships marked by frequent misunderstandings and conflicts. The ongoing turbulence in my life prompted a realization; I needed to take responsibility for my actions rather than attributing my circumstances to external factors or others. Pursuing years of study, therapy, and numerous workshops, I gradually acknowledged the importance of my lived experiences as part of my healing journey. One pivotal turning point was my engagement with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT encourages individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings, commit to personal values, and take action towards achieving a meaningful life. This approach enabled me to reframe my core beliefs, shifting my perspective from one rooted in victimhood to one driven by intention and purpose. Through ACT, I learned to embrace my emotional experiences without being defined by them. I discovered the power of self-compassion and the importance of vulnerability in building authentic connections. By letting go of the need for constant external validation, I began to cultivate genuine relationships and foster a deeper sense of connection with others. As I reflect on my journey, I hope my lived experiences resonate with others, reminding us of our shared humanity. Although we each have unique narratives, we all possess the same fundamental needs and yearnings for connection, understanding, and acceptance. In sharing my story, I aim to create a space that equalizes us all, emphasizing growth, resilience, and the importance of embracing our authentic selves.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
