About me
Dr. Miller A M is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist with a strong clinical foundation and a deep commitment to inclusive, evidence-based mental health care. He completed his MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research and earned his MD in Psychiatry from SRM Medical College. He has done his Postdoctoral Fellowship training in Emergency Psychiatry and Acute Care at NIMHANS, Bengaluru- India’s premier mental health institute. Dr. Miller has rich and diverse experience across adult psychiatry, emergency care, schizophrenia, first episode psychosis, addiction medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric care, and psychiatric rehabilitation. He is a member of the advisory board for the First Episode Psychosis program at Schizophrenia Research Foundation (SCARF), where he contributes to early intervention models in psychosis. An advocate for inclusive psychiatry, Dr. Miller is passionate about LGBTQIA+ affirmative mental health care and minority mental health. His research spans schizophrenia, emergency psychiatry, and the intersections of queerness and mental health, with multiple publications in national and international journals. He brings a trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive, and culturally rooted approach to therapy and psychiatric care. Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Miller is a writer and poet whose creative work explores themes of identity, belonging, and healing. He is also an avid tennis player, believing that well-being is nourished not just in the clinic but in the everyday rituals of movement, creativity, and community. Dr. Miller’s practice is guided by empathy, precision, and a vision of psychiatry that is holistic, human, and hopeful.
My Areas of Expertise
Key Therapeutic Approaches I use
Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
