About me

Dr. Tanu Kumari began her medical journey at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, where she completed her MBBS. She subsequently worked at AIIMS Delhi (NDDTC) before pursuing her MD at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Following this, she worked at AIIMS Patna for three years, gaining extensive clinical experience across diverse psychiatric settings.

She is a dedicated psychiatrist with over six years of clinical experience, specializing in neurobiological psychiatry and psychosocial interventions. Currently working as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Emoneeds, Dr. Kumari focuses on delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care for a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Known for her compassionate approach, she has also contributed to research through publications and remains actively involved in psychiatric education.

Dr. Kumari has worked across several institutes of national importance and brings with her strong clinical expertise, academic rigor, and hands-on experience. Her certifications include the NPTEL Basic Course in Biomedical Research, the Basic Course in Psychiatric Research (IPS South Zone), the Accredited Advanced Course in the Mental Healthcare Act (MHCA) 2017 from NIMHANS, and certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from IACAM.

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
