About me

Ria Gidwani Counselling Psychologist, Trauma-Informed Therapist  I’ve always believed that healing doesn’t start with big revelations. It begins with small moments of honesty. The quiet exhale after you’ve been holding your breath for too long. The courage to whisper, “I’m not okay right now.”  I work with adults and couples who feel lost, anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. My work blends science with softness, trauma awareness with presence, and deep compassion with practical tools. We slow down, listen to what your body has been trying to say, and create safety for what’s been too heavy to hold alone.  My approach is gentle, relational, and rooted in awareness.

I draw from trauma-informed frameworks, narrative exploration, mindfulness, and somatic work, but always in a way that feels human, not clinical. Together, we find a pace that feels right for you — healing that’s steady, not rushed.  I don’t show up with a clipboard. I show up as a person. Some days we laugh, some days we sit in silence, and both are healing.  Since 2019, I’ve been walking alongside people as they learn to listen inward again — not to become someone new, but to come home to themselves.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
