About me

I am Turfa, a psychotherapist with over three years of experience supporting young adults and adults. I have previously worked as a Clinical Psychologist and Psychology Faculty at well-regarded institutions in Karnataka. I now offer online therapy to clients in India and to Indian citizens living abroad. My approach is integrative, collaborative, and centred on each person’s lived experience. Creating a space where an individual feels understood, heard, and supported is at the heart of my work. I don’t take an 'expert' stance. I see therapy as a process where each person is climbing their own mountain. I may not tell someone how to climb theirs, but I can offer perspective and a vantage point to help them understand their journey more clearly.

People often come to me with concerns related to healing from difficult or distressing life experiences, childhood emotional neglect, anxiety, stress, low mood or depression, gender identity and sexuality, neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism), interpersonal relationships, and challenges related to self-worth, body image, or major life transitions. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and an intersectional lens sensitive to social context, honouring each person’s unique history, life story, and healing journey.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
