Facilitator: Kriti Baid
I’m a counselling psychologist and a strong advocate for working at the intersection of mental health and chronic illness care. I believe that living with epilepsy or cancer is not just a medical experience, but an emotional one, often shaped by fear, uncertainty, identity shifts, and the invisible weight of being “strong.” In my work, I create a space where these realities can be spoken about openly and without judgment. My approach is eclectic, drawing from CBT, REBT, Narrative, Gestalt, and somatic techniques to meet you where you are, with empathy, clarity, and care.
I facilitate support group sessions for individuals living with epilepsy and cancer, as well as their caregivers, focusing on themes that reflect lived experiences. From navigating anxiety about the next episode or scan, to exploring relationships, self-worth, anger, and grief, these spaces are designed to help you feel seen, understood, and less alone. I also work closely with caregivers, supporting them in finding balance, setting boundaries, and caring without losing themselves in the process.
My work combines emotional exploration with practical tools, including communication skills, stress management, and boundary setting, so that support feels both validating and actionable. Whether through reflective conversations or guided exercises, my aim is to help you make sense of your experience, reclaim a sense of agency, and find steadiness within uncertainty.
