I mostly grew up away from my parents and took ownership of my life early on. In this process, I also developed risk-taking behavior because of lack of guidance. During college I started doing substances, eventually getting addicted. My academics were affected, even lost my scholarship. After college it took me some years to clearly understand the implications of this risky behavior, talking to people with a similar journey helped! Now, I’ve been free since the last 2 years.
