I was pursuing the rigorous course of post-graduation (MD) in a medical college where I consistently faced discrimination and bullying for no apparent reason and the seniors kept telling me how I would not accomplish much in my career. Daily demotivation deterred me from continuing the course but then eventually I got over it and made it a point to excel in my field. Today I have 2 international research papers, several research papers presented at international and national conferences, a book in print and a patent under review in my name, and I am successful in my career. A lot of my precious time was gone clearing out the negativity around me. If I had someone to express my feelings without the fear of being judged at that point in time, it would have been much easier to get through things!
