I lost my best friend to suicide when I was 17. For a long time, I struggled with guilt and kept wondering if there was something I could have done differently. It took years to process the grief and slowly come to terms with that loss.
In 2019, my father was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (cerebellar type), a neurodegenerative condition that affects movement, speech, and other basic functions. Over time, his symptoms have progressed, and my mother and I have taken on the role of primary caregivers, navigating the emotional and physical challenges that come with it.
Through these experiences, I have developed a deeper understanding of grief, loss, and caregiving. I’m open to conversations around these topics and hope to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where people can share what they’re going through and feel less alone.
