Born into a family of army officers, I had the unique opportunity to travel extensively and interact with diverse cultures and people across India. This upbringing allowed me to understand how to come out and interact with people at a very young age, as I had changed 10 schools before I completed my Senior Secondary.

Following in my father’s footsteps, I joined the Indian Air Force, where I served honorably for 10 years. There as a young officer, I came across the challenges of commanding personnel who were double my age, here I learned how simple effective communication can work wonders.

I had suffered a severe injury that left me bedridden for six months with spinal fractures (L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1), that feeling where people who love you become the only people you can rely on but still feel like a burden to them, but trusting in self and accepting the supporting environment can get you out of unforeseen problems.

Married to an Indian Air Force officer, I prioritized open communication and mutual respect, fostering a strong and supportive marriage. With the arrival of my newborn, I made the heartfelt decision to retire early and dedicate my time to raising our child, recognising the invaluable early years of a child's development. In retirement, I continue to apply the skills and discipline honed in the Indian Air Force to my role as a house husband.
