About me

Ananya Roy is a counselling psychologist and Founder and Therapist at The Comfort Couch, a mental health practice dedicated to supporting adolescents and adults through some of life’s most complex emotional and relational challenges.

Her work focuses on helping individuals heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves and with others. She supports clients who feel stuck in recurring patterns, struggle with self-worth, or find it difficult to build meaningful connections. Her therapeutic space is designed to help individuals make sense of their experiences, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

Ananya works with concerns such as anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, trauma, relationship difficulties, boundary setting, identity exploration, self-worth issues, and life transitions. She offers a paced, client-centred approach that honours each person’s unique story and readiness for change.

Her practice is grounded in a person-centred and trauma-informed framework. She integrates approaches such as mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), and positive psychology. Her work is not about “fixing” individuals but about exploring experiences with curiosity, compassion, and depth.

Ananya’s aim is to create a safe, empowering space where clients can rebuild self-trust, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move towards a more grounded and meaningful life.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
