About me
Shalini Gautam is a Counselling Psychologist and Trauma-Informed Therapist with experience working with children and adults across clinical and community mental health settings. She has collaborated with three mental health NGOs, providing psychological support to individuals navigating a range of emotional and behavioural concerns.
Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), and Narrative Therapy. She also uses behaviour modification strategies, psychoeducation, and relaxation techniques to support sustainable mental well-being.
Shalini is trained in psychological assessment tools for screening anxiety, stress, emotional and behavioural concerns, and overall psychological well-being. She works with individuals experiencing academic stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, relationship concerns, and adjustment difficulties.
She strives to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can develop greater self-awareness, practical coping strategies, and emotional resilience. Her practice is guided by the Butterfly Effect philosophy—the belief that small, timely, and meaningful interventions can create lasting psychological change.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
