About me

Malavika Mavath has a background in Counselling Psychology and Behavioural Analysis and Therapy, with postgraduate degrees from Jain University, Bengaluru, and the University of South Wales. Her experience as a school counsellor and through an internship in the UK has given her the opportunity to work with individuals navigating diverse emotional, behavioural, and personal challenges, particularly children experiencing learning and developmental difficulties.

Malavika's therapeutic approach is grounded in Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, which emphasises recognising personal strengths, building on existing resources, and identifying practical steps towards meaningful change. Rather than focusing solely on problems, she helps clients explore possibilities, gain clarity, and discover ways to navigate challenges that feel achievable and relevant to their lives.

She aims to create a warm, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves openly and explore their concerns at their own pace. Whether navigating emotional difficulties, behavioural challenges, or periods of uncertainty, Malavika works collaboratively with clients to help them recognise their strengths and find a way forward that feels right for them.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
