About me
Shivaani Chugh is a Counselling Psychologist with 5 years of experience, practising since 2021. She works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the emotional impact of chronic illness and other long-term health conditions.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), while thoughtfully integrating other evidence-based approaches based on each individual's needs and goals. Shivaani believes therapy is not about "fixing" a person, but about creating a space to make sense of their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and move towards a life that feels meaningful and aligned with their values.
Having worked extensively with individuals living with chronic health conditions, she brings a deeper understanding of how physical health can affect emotional well-being, relationships, identity, and everyday life. She supports clients through experiences such as adjusting to a diagnosis, managing uncertainty, feeling overwhelmed, and navigating difficult phases of life.
Shivaani aims to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel heard and understood. Her work focuses on helping individuals build emotional resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and navigate life's challenges with greater self-awareness and confidence.

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
