About me
Tanvi is a counselling psychologist with dual master’s degrees in mental health counseling from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She previously worked in New York City and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
She views therapy as a space to slow down, feel heard, and explore one’s inner world with curiosity and openness. She works at the client’s pace, supporting them in understanding thoughts, emotions, and parts of themselves that may feel silenced, stuck, or in conflict.
Her approach is insight-oriented and draws from psychodynamic, attachment, and relational theories to explore how early experiences and relationships shape present patterns of coping and connection. She places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of healing, offering a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space.
Tanvi’s practice is multicultural, trauma-informed, and queer-affirmative. She remains attentive to how identity, sociocultural background, and broader systems shape a person’s sense of self and relational experiences. She works with adults (18+) facing concerns such as childhood trauma, life transitions, relationship and intimacy issues, grief, self-esteem challenges, anxiety, and stress.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
