About me

Apoorwa Iyer is a Counselling Psychologist with an MSc, working with adults in English, Hindi, and Tamil. Her approach is eclectic, drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic principles, adapting the therapeutic process to each client's needs and experiences.

At the heart of her practice is the therapeutic relationship. Apoorwa pays attention not only to what clients bring into therapy, but also to what unfolds in the present moment, including experiences in the body and within the therapeutic relationship. She aims to help clients quiet the noise, connect more clearly with themselves, and engage with the world around them with greater awareness and safety.

Her work is collaborative and unhurried, allowing clients the space to explore their experiences at a pace that feels right for them. She also facilitates experiential workshops and groups for adolescents and adults focused on empowerment, self-identity, and building a sense of community.

Apoorwa believes that many of our deepest wounds are shaped by our relationships and the world around us, and that healing is supported through connection, understanding, and meaningful relationships.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
