About me
Dr. Bidisha Chakraborty is a qualified Psychiatrist with over 6 years of clinical experience in mental healthcare. She completed her MBBS (Hons.) from Nilratan Sircar Medical College, Kolkata in 2018, and her MD in Psychiatry from IPGMER & SSKM Hospital in 2023. She has also cleared MRCPsych (UK) Part A and B in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
Dr. Chakraborty follows an evidence-based and holistic approach to psychiatric care. She works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress-related concerns, adjustment difficulties, trauma, OCD, addiction, sexual disorders, and childhood behavioral issues. She is known for her empathetic, patient-centric style and focuses on collaborative treatment planning. Dr. Chakraborty also provides LGBTQIA+-affirming care and strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space for all clients.

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist.
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
