About me
Dr Raj Laxmi is a psychiatrist focused on evidence-based mental health care and recovery-oriented psychiatric practice in India. She completed her MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar and her MD in Psychiatry from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh, experiences that shaped her clinical practice as well as her interest in research and public mental health.
Her work focuses on recovery in first-episode psychosis, stigma reduction, digital mental health innovation, and community-based psychiatric care. Dr Raj Laxmi has around four years of specialist clinical experience and works across adult, child and adolescent, and geriatric psychiatry, as well as consultation-liaison psychiatry. Her practice integrates psychopharmacology with psychodynamic psychotherapy to provide comprehensive, patient-centred care.
She is actively involved in mental health awareness through media engagement and community outreach initiatives across Chandigarh, Haryana, and Punjab. She was awarded the Dr Ramachandra N Moorthy Foundation Fellowship for Mental Health and Neurological Sciences at the Leadership Skills Training Program held at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru.
Dr Raj Laxmi is a life member of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Health, Indian Association of Social Psychiatry, and Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
Her work integrates clinical care, leadership, and innovation to promote accessible, stigma-free, and recovery-oriented psychiatric services.

Other Therapists by Areas of Expertise
Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
