About me

Palkee Baruah is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 7 years of experience in the field. Her expertise includes treating anxiety disorders, depression, relationship concerns, adult ADHD, adult autism, self and identity issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), adolescent mental health, self-esteem issues, emotional regulation, fears and phobias, personality disorders, grief, and general life concerns and stressors.

Palkee's therapeutic approach is built on a strong belief in the power of collaboration between therapist and client. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts and feelings with empathy and active listening. She employs evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), incorporating mindfulness techniques tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Additionally, her work is informed by an intersectional, feminist, trauma-sensitive, caste-conscious, and queer-affirmative approach.

Fluent in English, Assamese, and Hindi, Palkee’s therapeutic style reflects her passion for supporting clients through life's challenges.

Fun fact: If she could only eat one type of food for the rest of her life, it would be aloo pitika, and she has a love for travelling!

Her go-to quote: Therapy: Because even superheroes need a sidekick for their mental battles.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
