About me

Rootam Goswami is a Counselling Psychologist with experience supporting individuals across different age groups in both school and clinical settings. She has worked as a school counsellor with primary and elementary students and has also led a team of six counsellors, supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of children in an educational environment.

She has also worked in a clinical setting under the supervision of a psychiatrist, providing counselling and psychological support for concerns including PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and other emotional challenges. She has experience working with teenagers as well as individuals navigating personal and relationship concerns.

Rootam’s approach is grounded in empathy, safety, and collaboration. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help clients develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and healthier coping strategies while working towards emotional well-being and personal growth.

She is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and English, allowing her to work comfortably with clients from diverse backgrounds. She is also trained in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, strengthening her understanding of child protection and trauma-related concerns.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
