About me
Vishakha Kanase is a Psychotherapist and Couple Therapist with 10 years of experience working with individuals and couples across India and internationally. She offers both individual and couple therapy, with a particular focus on Indian and NRI couples navigating relationships across distance, cultures, family influences, expectations, and different stages of life.
In her couple work, Vishakha supports partners experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflicts, emotional disconnection, trust and relationship ruptures, differences in expectations, intimacy concerns, and relationship patterns that leave them feeling stuck. She also works with couples who may not be in crisis but want to better understand their relationship and build a more fulfilling and connected partnership.
Vishakha is Level 1 and Level 2 certified in the Gottman Method, which informs her approach to couple therapy. Her therapeutic practice is eclectic and draws from Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Humanistic, and Family Systems perspectives. She is particularly interested in understanding the emotions, patterns, expectations, and past experiences that influence how individuals relate to themselves and one another.
Alongside couple therapy, Vishakha works with individuals around relationship concerns, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, attachment, stress, and life transitions.
She believes therapy begins with meeting clients where they are, rather than where they feel they should be. By understanding each person's experiences from their perspective, she aims to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood, while also developing greater clarity around what they want to change.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions
Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist
Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.
Cancellation policy
You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.
Late to session policy
If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.
Cancelling part of a bundled session
For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
