About me

Akanksha Sharma is an RCI-licensed Clinical Psychologist with 6+ years of experience as a Psychotherapist. She works with adults aged 18 and above and has provided therapy to more than 1,000 individuals.

She works with concerns including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, adult ADHD, difficult emotions, low self-esteem, childhood emotional neglect, traumatic experiences, and relationship and work-related stress.

Akanksha takes a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She believes that each person's experiences, personality, and life narratives shape how they navigate the world, and therefore works collaboratively with clients to understand their individual needs.

Her experience working in a psychiatric hospital and juvenile justice setting has strengthened her commitment to creating an unbiased, compassionate space where clients can feel accepted and express themselves freely. She aims to support clients in developing greater self-understanding, connecting with their authentic selves, and building effective coping strategies for a more empowered life.

Therapy Bookings: Terms & Conditions

Sessions coordinated directly with the therapist

Once you book a session with a therapist via SoulUp, we put you in touch with them via WhatsApp allowing you and your therapist to coordinate on a mutually convenient time.

Cancellation policy

You can reschedule or cancel sessions or switch therapists upto 24 hours of the slotted time, post which no rescheduling or refund of sessions is possible.

Late to session policy

If you are over 15 mins late to the session, then the session will be held cancelled and no refund will be available. This has been done to ensure a 'full' session for you as well as to ensure enough gap-time for the therapist before their next session.

Cancelling part of a bundled session

For sessions bought as bundle of 4 at discounted price - if after n sessions, either the therapist or the client wants to discontinue sessions, we initiate refund of remaining sessions. In this case, the actual non-discounted price is deducted for each completed session (instead of the pro-rata amount per session) from the price of the bundled offering and the refund is issued.
